Scottish Graduate School for Arts & Humanities

General information

We are sixteen HEIs across Scotland plus supporters from the Arts, Culture, Creative & Heritage sectors. Supported by the Scottish Funding Council & the Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC), we provide the framework to develop strategic & sustainable partnerships to support world-leading doctoral training in the Arts & Humanities across Scotland.

We aim to support our doctoral graduates to become well-networked leaders in whichever sector they choose to work, with the ability to use the skills gained through their training to make a real difference in the world. Working together with each other, our partners & our supporters, we can provide our students with access to research expertise across the nation & to our universities’ world-class resources – including museums, special collections & archives. We promote, facilitate & enable collaboration to deliver outstanding & innovative advanced skills development training fit for the challenges of the twenty-first century.
