Townends is a medium sized firm with 8 partners, covering 4 offices (York, Selby, Pontefract and Goole) and around 70 staff.
Our client base is varied covering much of the UK and including a number of overseas based individuals, businesses and trusts. We particularly specialise in owner managed businesses, high net worth individuals, families and trusts. The 'family plan' forms the core of our tax and strategic planning work for many of our families - this includes inheritance tax planning and business succession planning often involving the use of family trusts.
We are firm believers in the 'Townends Philosophy' - a copy of which is available via our website and forms the basis of everything we do. Our style is to take a positive lead in terms of tax planning and it is not in our nature to simply produce accounts and tax returns and answer questions when asked.
Achieving levels of pro activity and timeliness that exceed clients' expectations is a fundamental planning element of our service delivery.
