Hybrid Gallery

General information

Hybrid Gallery shows contemporary British figurative art, focusing chiefly on paintings with a narrative thread. Exhibitions change every six weeks or so and work by key gallery artists are also kept in one space throughout the year.
Hybrid has shown Richard Adams’ work for twenty five years; his busy compositions depicting simple, domestic and rural pursuits are appreciated for their quirkiness and optimism and are widely collected. Also much sought after are imaginative portraits by Irene Jones and the stunning still life paintings of Rachel Ross and Niggy Dowler. With sculpture by Dean Patman and many local craftspeople’s pieces held in stock, a diverse collection of work is available to view and purchase.
The gallery has a welcoming atmosphere and is conveniently situated in the High Street of Honiton in East Devon. Honiton is a good base from which to discover Devon, Dorset, Somerset and it’s an ideal stopping point en route to Cornwall with refreshment at next door’s Boston Tea Party.
