General information
Following the successful outcome of the ‘Gladman appeal’ in January 2015 the Parish Council has been working in partnership with representatives from the residents’ group ‘Hands off Thaxted’ and the Thaxted Society to investigate the benefits of completing a Neighbourhood Plan for Thaxted. Having met with Uttlesford District Council, the Rural Community Council of Essex and an independent planning expert, at the October Council meeting, it was concluded that Thaxted will benefit from the completion of a Plan and a ‘Steering Group’ has been formed, which comprises residents and parish councillors, to progress a Plan.
