Shearwater Marine Services Ltd have sufficient experienced diving and management personnel to cover the wide range of disciplines required to provide the complete diving & marine service.

Aquaculture Services - Shearwater Marine have supported the aquaculture industry since 1992 and are one of the few companies left continuing to do so.Our dive teams have carried out all the duties required to keep farms running smoothly, including mooring installation and inspection, net checks, mortality removal, installation of airlift systems, seabed surveys and salvage.

Renewable Energy Services - Shearwater were the main marine contractor for the installation of 4 x 2km sub sea cables, installed off Billia Croo, Orkney in May 2003. The cables were all installed to schedule as part of the development of E.M.E.C and its wave power installations.

Recently, Shearwater supplied diving and marine support to the main contractors during the installation of the cables for the tidal power development off Eday, Orkney Islands and the replacement of the cables for the windfarm development at Blyth, Northumbria.

Civils/Construction Industry - A full range of services to provide underwater support for marine projects - welding , burning, shuttering & concreting, pile and fender removal / replacement, seabed surveys, inspections, concrete repairs.

MOD - Based on the Clyde and out of Holy Loch, Shearwater are located in an area steeped in naval history from the bases in the Gareloch, Clyde Estuary and the US Polaris base on the Holy Loch.Our proximity to the modern day bases at Faslane & Coulport has resulted in us providing diving & marine support to the MoD since 1997.

Shipping Services - Hull cleaning and prop polishing are known methods for shipowners to save fuel costs over long voyages. Shearwater have been carrying out these services since 1996 for the Royal Navy and have provided numerous innovative in water techniques when required to provide underwater engineering solutions.

Inspection Services - Underwater video and written reports on VHS or DVD format as well as NDT inspections. Shearwater are a Lloyds accredited company for inwater hull surveys as well as having carried out hundreds of reports on marine structures for Construction companies, Local authorities, Utility companies and Consultant engineer.

Other services include; Design and installation of blanks, replacement of valves, fittings and sonar equipment as well as detailed in-water hull and propulsion system surveys. Shearwater Marine now hold a Lloyds approval for surveying of vessels.
