Cambridgeshire Acre Company Information
General information
As the Rural Community Council (RCC) for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough we support rural communities to become more socially, economically and environmentally viable.
Cambridgeshire ACRE is a member of the Rural Community Action Network (RCAN) of 38 Rural Community Councils who do similar work across England. We influence national and regional government through our membership of ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural England) and Rural Action East, the East of England network of RCCs. We are committed to influencing at a local level through active membership of strategic partnerships, such as the Cambridgeshire Together Board.
Our customer base is diverse and includes voluntary organisations, community groups, statutory agencies and individuals who regularly use our services. We have 290 paid members who include Parish Councils and those managing community facilities, such as village halls and playing fields. Feedback from our customers is vital in shaping our future services and this is gained through surveys, workshops and product/service evaluation.
