General information

eReco was originally conceived as a WEEE recycler in 2006, working to strict processes under WEEE Legislation.

The company developed its range of services and began to gravitate towards a speciality in Category 3 WEEE – ICT. Our internal knowledge base of IT is vast, having highly experienced staff handling the secure booking in process, through to data wiping, engineering and preparation for remarketing.

eReco now offers a full range of IT asset disposition (ITAD) services, including secure data erasure both on site and here at our new highly secure facility. We undertake secure IT Asset Disposition work for public and private sector clients and are DIPCOG Approved to work in the MoD and Government space. We are also the recycling partner to the Eco-Schools Programme.

Our building is secure but we welcome client visits with prior arrangement – we want you to see how we operate, to have confidence in who we are and what we do.

eReco gained and retains ADISA certification to Distinction level. What does this mean to you? Recognised by DIPCOG, the ADISA Standard governs how our processes are constructed. This ensures that all your assets, from a mouse and keyboard, through to desktop systems, servery and networking equipment are handled in the correct fashion. This means proving chain of custody, proving data security at all times and it means peace of mind for our clients.

Basic Service

eReco’s basic service consists of secure collection which operates nationally, booking in assets, reporting to clients on what was collected and data erasure. We provide all documentation to ensure our clients are compliant with legislation.

Data Wiping

Data security is paramount within any business but it seems all too common that this is overlooked once assets have exhausted their lifecycle. Whilst assets are in use the data security aspect is taken very seriously but once they have been pulled from operation they are, more often than not, forgotten about and treated as general waste. The assets still hold data and should be treated in the same way that the live assets are.

We provide secure collections, transporting assets to our data suite where they will be sanitised to CESG Infosec 5 level. Alternatively we can send our experienced engineers on-site to erase the data within the confines of your own premises. All assets will be logged and CESG data erasure certificates provided for each individual hard drive if this service has been requested. Data erasure doesn’t only occur at end of life, it is beneficial when migrating assets between multiple sites or departments to fulfil different purposes within your organisation.

Remarketing

Our brokerage team have years of experience within the industry and guarantee that where possible, market value is received from the sale of your assets. This means that you could also receive an injection of funds to help with the acquisition of new assets. We operate various cash-back schemes depending on the situation and our client’s requirements.

We make this process as simple and easy as possible without drawing attention away from the core value of the service, which is data security. Simply, we collect assets, asset track them into our system and give an initial grade indicating whether it is a working item or not. If economically viable to do so, we will refurbish the asset and prepare it for remarketing. Equipment is brokered out to the UK and Europe only, it is a Company policy never to sell untested equipment and we do not remarket to third world countries because their environmental policies are not as stringent as ours at end of life. eReco is an environmentally-responsible ITAD.

Decommissioning & commissioning work.

This is probably our most popular on-site service which allows us to take the hassle out of decommissioning your assets. We can send a team of engineers on site to disconnect all of your assets and have them made ready for whichever purpose you decide i.e. relocation, recycling, remarketing, staff buy back etc. This service frees up your employees’ time to do the job they are best at, safe in the knowledge that it is being carried out by a team of experts. We also offer commissioning services which is essentially the opposite! Often, we do both. If you purchase new equipment we can assist in rolling it out, removing the old, replacing with the new and removing all packaging etc.

Secure storage and redeployment

This is a very popular service for organisations which have numerous sites around the UK and Europe because it takes all the hassle out of moving assets between sites. Typically, this involves us collecting your assets from one site and securely transporting them to another of your premises. Secure storage is very popular for companies who are moving their entire site and allows you to take a proportion of your assets with you and have the rest delivered to your site as and when you need them. All assets will be tracked onto our database and lists forwarded to you to call off when you need them, without the need for storage space within your new premises.

Staff Purchase Scheme

We collect your assets i.e. laptops / pc’s, process them as usual ensuring they are data safe, then reinstall the operating system. We supply your staff with an unique web link and login details where they can visit to purchase the assets at a reduced rate.

Relocation & Office moves

With countless moves and relocations under our belt our expertise in this field will be of huge benefit during what is a very stressful, deadline-driven time for your company. We will help you with both planning and physical movement from your current premises into the new. We will provide you with help and experience on matters that can be overlooked when vacating premises.
With our extensive knowledge we can help make this as painless as possible for you and deliver the service you require to get the job done. We will work out of hours, weekends, even over Christmas if that’s what is needed.

Charitable Donation
This is probably the most rewarding service we provide! Funds from the remarketing of your disposed IT can be donated to charity by us on your behalf – either one of your choice or eReco’s charity. We support the national Help a Capital Child charity which assists young people with cancer and CircusStar, a charity local to us which enables severely handicapped children to attend very special days out with their carers. Everyone needs a little joy, after all.
