Worth School Company Information
General information
With the Worth Abbey Church and its monastic community at its heart, there is a strong sense of Benedictine identity at Worth School, reflected in its educational, spiritual and pastoral excellence.
Accepting students from both Catholic and non-Catholic denominations, a Worth student leaves the School with an education that goes far beyond the syllabus. Described by the latest Ofsted Report as “Outstanding in all areas”, personalisation of learning is at the centre of a Worth education. Students are encouraged to develop a meaningful faith, to value themselves and others, and to acquire the life-skills to find their true vocation in a demanding world.
Academically, all pupils are challenged to be curious and to stretch themselves intellectually – to be the best they can be. Highly regarded for its academic breadth, Worth is independently ranked as one of the UK’s top 10 International Baccalaureate schools, and in 2014 the combined grades of IB and A Level were equivalent to a A*-B pass rate of 74%.
The Benedictine ethos at Worth, reflected very much in its compassionate and caring community and pastoral care, encourages students to go into the world and make a difference.
“The personal development of the pupils is outstanding.” ISI Interim Inspection 2012.
