Scotland’s first Venison farm and on-site Abattoir. Here at Stagison we love our deer. They’re deer to our heart. It’s why we pamper them with fluffy straw beds, vast rolling hills and woodland for them to play and roam around in. Because happy hooves mean happy meat.

As seasoned deer farmers, we don’t only want the best of the best from our meat, we want the best of the best for our deer too. It’s why we go to great lengths to ensure the health, happiness and wellbeing of our herd, from start to finish. It’s also why we built our very own on-site abattoir and let the great taste of Stagison tell our great story.

All of our deer are culled in dusk conditions, with no bullying, chasing or stress. Simple, one at a time and with 100% effectiveness, perfection and kindness to our animals. It’s just one of the reasons why we’re recommended by 60 of the top vets. What’s more, we are based on an eco-farm and adhere to the highest eco-friendly practices.
