It is located centrally within the United Kingdom, with good access to the motorway network, and has a customer base throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The Environment Agency estimates that currently 1.8 million tonnes of electrical and electronic waste is generated annually. It is ABS IT AD's target that, in compliance with relevant legislation, none of the waste it handles goes to landfill.
