OUR APPROACH

Here at Salcey Cabinet Makers we like to offer proposals pre-design, before proceeding to design consultations, to help you decide if you would like to commission us to your project. Once we’re commissioned we can start the design process and supply drawings for you to see.

We don’t supply cad / 3D designs which are of course a quick cost effective way of offering a visualization to clients from the off start; we offer hand drawn designs which of course aren’t so cost effective therefore our approach is different. Plus we are a small family run company and get commissions from all over the country even abroad, so this approach is what logically works best all round.

Our designer is Sally Haynes; Sally has been part of our team for over 10 years. Once you have decided to go to the next stage, she designs and draws everything we make. You can go back to the drawing board as many times as you need until you’re happy.

Our design service is a personal one, where you will liaise with Grahame & Sally to achieve what you want. We prefer hand drawn designs as they reflect the fact that everything we make is bespoke and to your specification, therefore we aren’t restricted to set module sizes.
We don’t have any set ranges which means you have full flexibility within your project.

We are very practiced with our proposals pre-design and they tend to be fairly accurate, but as we haven’t designed anything for you at that stage, we can work to budgets too.

We hope that having traded for over 20 years, our portfolios of work, lifetime guarantee, being long term members of The Guild of Master Craftsmen and ability to arrange private viewings on request goes some way to offering some security to our clients also.

To commission us we only ask for a small 10% deposit to get things started. Most of our clients are happy with this approach; However you can go straight to design without paying a deposit but with the agreement that you would pay for the design fee even if you decided not to go with us, but this can be redeemable at any point if you changed your mind later and confirmed a commission with us.
