Great Glen Piping Company Information
General information
Our page gives day-to-day occurrences of Great Glen Piping and Glenbervie Folk Duo, as well as photos and videos of both. Neil has been playing bagpipes since a very young age and set up GGP in 2010. He is ex Scots Guards and Strathclyde Police. As well as performing at various occasions and events, Neil teaches bagpipes in person and over Skype. Glenbervie Folk Duo was set up in Nov 2015 when Neil and Kathryn realised that his Scottish smallpipes in C and her clarinet went very well together. Kathryn also plays guitar, and Neil plays whistles and harmonica. They both also sing. They have an extensive repertoire of traditional and contemporary folk and Scottish/Irish music, and have played in pubs, folk clubs, churches, private functions and other venues suited to acoustic-based tunes. (Though the Highland bagpipes have also been known to feature...)Kathryn is a member of Falkirk Tryst Orchestra and Neil has also performed as a soloist with them. The page is also a means for people and organisations to contact Neil and Kathryn regarding teaching and performance.
