Welcome to our school!
Sutton-at-Hone Primary School is a GOOD school and we aspire to be outstanding. We aim to teach our children important knowledge and skills through the provision of an exciting and varied curriculum within a Christian environment, so that they become confident, independent learners with a passion for life-long learning.

Our Curriculum
Our curriculum aims to develop important learning behaviours in our children, as well as impart key subject knowledge and skills. We hope that our approach to delivering the new curriculum will only prove to enhance the good practices we have been developing in recent years.
We look forward to seeing our children develop further into even more confident learners who: problem solve; investigate; ask questions; work collaboratively; have a good level of concentration and perseverance; relish a challenge; are willing to ‘have a go’, and are not frightened to make mistakes, instead learn from them. Most importantly our children understand that if they find something difficult having these learning attributes will ensure that they are able to achieve it, with the right effort and attitude. We encourage our children not to say ‘I can’t do it!’, but instead to say ‘I can’t do it YET!’

The aims of this page are:
• To share and celebrate good news and photos with parents relating to events in the school.
• To keep parents up to date with events happening in school, send reminders and links to any useful sites/apps to support learning and wellbeing.
• To raise the profile of the school in the local community, for existing families, potential new admissions and in recruiting new staff.

We would encourage our parents to like and share our posts but to refrain from using the page to comment. We really appreciate the feedback our parents and other stakeholders give us, but we would ask that any comments are shared in the usual ways: by making an appointment to see the relevant member of staff through the school office; emailing the school office; speaking to Mrs Ashley, our Family Support Advisor; or completing a parent comment form.

Any complaints should be directed to the school office, following the school’s complaints procedure. We ask that all parents follow the terms of our school Social Media Policy (available on our school website), and refrain from posting any defamatory, discriminatory or derogatory comments, or from naming any children, staff or parents for data protection reasons. The school will reserve the right to remove any comments posted on the page where necessary and or appropriate. We will contact anyone who posts a comment that we decide to remove, encouraging them to contact the school office and make an appointment to speak to a member of staff.
