General information

The staffs at Star Kids Nursery, Pre-school and Out of School Club work within the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage which encourages development and learning from birth to 5 years.

The aim of the framework is to encourage young children to achieve the 'Every Child Matters' outcomes, of staying safe, being healthy, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution and achieving economic wellbeing. The nursery undertakes the responsibility of ensuring that the children are provided with opportunities to develop a solid platform for future learning, enabling them to reach their full potential in a fun-filled, child centred environment.
The framework ensures that the children have access to a range of play activities, resources for learning and that the inclusion of every child is of paramount importance.
Through observing and assessing, children's individual needs are met and children can make progress through the 'Development Matters' section of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Our ethos is to offer children freedom of choice in a structured setting. We also aim to promote community involvement and awareness, to support education and development and to create confidence and good relationships between staff, parents, children and the community.

Star Kids Day Nursery, Pre-school and Out of School Club seeks to maintain fully inclusive high standards at all times by recognising values derived from different backgrounds and endeavouring to ensure equal opportunities by meeting the needs of each individual, whatever their specific requirements.
