With decor inspired by a bar in Prague and a name that sounds oh-so-Eastern European, Pivo brings an exotic flavour to the heart of Edinburgh. That's true in the excellent selection of European drinks, including Belhaven beers and spirits, but it's also true in the clientele. This atmospheric, low-ceilinged bar attracts a cosmopolitan mix of Scottish, Polish, Italian, Spanish, Lithuanian and Hungarian regulars, among them many catering workers who appreciate the late opening hours. It makes for a lively, good-hearted ambiance in a bar full of cosy corners.
