Clifton Hall School Company Information
General information
Clifton Hall has existed as an independent school since its inception in 1930. Originally a boys’ prep school, it was founded by Richard Killick and Robert Ainslie, who saw the need for a good independent feeder school. The school was built around the belief in both high academic standards and high moral standards, focusing on courtesy, self-respect and the development of character. The school continued to flourish and under the Headship of George Mathewson was rightly perceived as the leading independent prep school in Scotland, if not the UK. Under Mark Adams, the school became fully co-educational, made the transition from Prep School to a Primary school and opened a Nursery school. It was a huge privilege to be able to offer all-through education from age 3 to 18 in 2008, and since then the school has almost tripled in size. With our unique environment and our policy of limiting the school to only 400 students we can offer your child a quality of education unsurpassed. You are assured a warm welcome if you would like to visit.
