Sheila Fleet OBE has come a long way since the jewellery designer-maker decided to open her first workshop in Orkney, Scotland, in 1993.

After starting out in a converted shed, Sheila now employs some 55 skilled craftspeople in a dedicated workshop and showroom in Orkney, and Sheila Fleet Jewellery is one of Orkney's biggest and best-known exports.

Sheila Fleet Jewellery has developed a reputation in Britain and around the world for distinctive design and quality. All of Sheila’s jewellery is designed, made, finished and packaged at the workshop in Orkney. Each piece bears the maker's mark SD (Dearness is Sheila’s maiden name) and a hallmark from the Edinburgh Assay Office, demonstrating that it has been independently quality tested for fineness.

At Sheila Fleet Jewellery we aim to provide our customers with jewellery they will cherish forever, and service they can count on, from our small and dedicated team. We are committed to nurturing talent and employ skilled craftspeople locally to make each individual piece, keeping alive traditions which have been a part of life in these islands since Neolithic times.

Sheila's son, Martin, runs the day-to-day business operation, and many of the landscape and portrait images featured throughout the company’s marketing were taken by Sheila's late husband, Rick.

There is also a Sheila Fleet Gallery at 18 St Stephen Street, Stockbridge, Edinburgh, where you can talk to our knowledgeable staff about how the individual pieces are made. Sheila Fleet Jewellery is also available in our concessions at Jenners Department Store, Edinburgh, Jenners in Loch Lomond Shores at Loch Lomond, and in House of Fraser, Glasgow.
