Established by Royal Charter in 1783, we are unique in the UK as our 1600-strong Fellowship includes experts from a broad spectrum of disciplines such as science & technology, arts, humanities, social science, business and public service.
Our activities include leading on major inquiries, informing public policy, funding leading researchers, working internationally and delivering events to inspire knowledge and learning.
