Built in 1687 as the grand baroque home of Edinburgh's Lord Provost, Prestonfield is now Edinburgh's most luxurious 5-star hotel .

Prestonfield is privately owned by the Witchery by the Castle's creator, James Thomson. Described by Time Out as Edinburgh's star restaurateur. His vision was to create a compelling alternative to bland, unexceptional hotels so Prestonfield is a very personal creation; of historic architecture, art and antiques, and décor every bit as rich and colourful as the history of the house itself.

Rhubarb, Edinburgh’s destination restaurant, delivers all of the gourmet delights, magic, drama and romance you would expect from the creator of the Witchery by the Castle.
