General information

All our venues are 100% vegetarian and use as much organic and locally sourced ingredients as possible. Vegan dishes and dietary options are our speciality.

We have a 160 seater restaurant, a deli shop, a bistro, a cafe / restaurant on Holryood Rd and a busy city centre retaurant on St Gile St.

Our 160 seater restaurant, 94 Hanover Street, provide healthy, casual fare and a relaxed atmosphere with regular art exhibitions and events. The restaurant is open Mon-Sat with live music every evening in the lower seating area - serving counter service during the day, and table service from 5pm.

Established in 1968, formerly Hendersons Bistro, we made the decision to go 100% Vegan in July 2015. As the Bistro was almost 90% vegan for 40 years, we thought it made sense to go completely vegan, making our little restaurant the first of its kind in Edinburgh.

Our cozy cafe / restaurant on Holyrood Rd, opened in August 2015, Holyrood is a combination of all that Hendersons has to offer, with a fast take away service including grab and go wraps, sandwiches, salad boxes, cakes and puddings, or let our kitchen team cook up something delicious and hot for you to take back to your office.
