General information

We are housed in rather splendid Victorian premises just by the Dean Bridge and we offer our Members a truly unique environment in which to exercise and relax in surroundings that have a very special, and very soothing calm.

Many of our Members have been swimming here all their lives and membership now spans three generations. We are very much about families as well as individuals and our Members look out for each other.

We offer Members individual poolside changing cubicles for hanging their clothes, permanent personal lockers and freshly laundered towels. Members can drop in at any time, as we wash and dry their costumes after every visit.

We also have a comprehensive offering of health and fitness facilities as offer a range of treatments, fitness classes and swimming classes.

We recruit the best possible staff, who do their utmost to know all our Members’ names. We believe that cheerful, well mannered staff add immensely to what we have to offer. From the moment our Members arrive, to the moment they leave, they know that they have been in a very special little world that has been a well loved, well kept secret in Edinburgh since 1882.
