Originating in Ghana, Highlife music is best described as fusion music. If you haven’t heard it, you’re in for a treat, and possibly a surprise. What makes Highlife so special is its mutability. Over the years it has mixed with Jazz, Soul, Funk and Rock, and the results of these fusions give our film a soundtrack of solid gold.
Our Kickstarter campaign is raising money to pay for festival submission fees, for archive footage usage, and for licensing the music the film showcases - Highlife and Afrobeat from some the finest veterans of Ghanaian music.
