General information

Largely dependent on voluntary donations, the Ayrshire Hospice provides care where there is no cure for a condition: care which improves the quality of each day for people who have a limited time to live. We help people to live as actively as they can to the end of their lives - however long that may be, where ever that may be. We provide care in a number of places including people’s own homes, hospitals and care homes as well as in our purpose built day care and in-patient units.

The care we provide is at no cost to the patient. However, it does require extensive, on-going fundraising support. It costs £7.4million per year to run all of our hospice services, that’s over £20,000 per day. Of this £7.4million, we need to raise £4.3million every year through voluntary donations.
