Gildings is also an ideal film location. Just 6 miles south of Dorking, Surrey, it is set in tranquil Surrey countryside, surrounded by open fields lined with mature woodland. The interconnecting traditional oak-framed barns create a unique and dramatic atmosphere, and are ideally laid out to ensure a natural flow of guests on site. The Reception Barn houses a collection of vintage agricultural tools and equipment, typical of those used in the era in which the front barns were built. And our restored horse-drawn farm wagons provide wonderful photo backdrops.

We offer exclusive hire of the barns on a limited number of days each year. We welcome applications from people looking to hold dignified and beautiful celebrations and other events, fitting for this wonderful venue.
