General information
Young Start-up Talent is the brainchild of Matt Turner, the Gatwick Diamond Young Entrepreneur of the Year and MD of Creative Pod, and Lorraine Nugent the MD of Media Word Waves
Ltd, a PR and Marketing Company.
The initiative is now in it's fifth year with many success stories from our past winners and finalists who are now running their own businesses, to those who have received work experience from our judges and sponsors and some who are now in full-time employment with those judges and sponsors.
The semi-finalists and finalists receive plenty of coaching and mentoring to get them ready for the process ahead. The overall winner is determined, as always, following a 'Dragon's Den' style final. The finalists are determined via a speed networking exercise whereby the judges and sponsors all get to have a one-to-one with the semi-finalists.
The prize fund for the winner is worth £50,000 worth of products and services to help launch and support the winner for 12 months.
We endeavor to keep our sponsors and supporters regularly informed, as well as the wider community with features in the local media.
