Lino Thomas Hairdressers was started in 1994 in Stansted Mountfitchet with a vision to provide excellent contemporary and classic hairdressing, with exemplary service, in a professional but, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.

We have been using Aveda products for over 15 years. They are known to be one of the premium hair care products in the industry and we are proud to have been made an Aveda Exclusive Salon during the past year.

Our team of highly trained and experienced Stylists and Colourists have all been trained by Aveda and/or Vidal Sassoon educators and regularly attend courses at the Aveda Institute in London. We believe in bringing all that we’ve learned to give you beautiful, natural, healthy, fashionable hair in a relaxed environment.

We combine stress relieving rituals such as hand and head massages with our hairdressing to give our guests the most relaxing experience possible in a hair salon. With Aveda oil and products we aim to give the best possible care, not only for our guests hair but for all round wellbeing and peace of mind.

Aveda products are manufactured by 100% wind power, they are the biggest purchasers of organic ingredients in the personal care industry and 90% essential oils and 89% of herbal ingredients are certified organic (that’s 77 tonnes purchased annually!) We are proud to use the worlds only carbon neutral hairspray.

Apprenticeships

We have an outstanding reputation in the area for the quality of training our Apprentices receive. Lino was presented with “Employer of the Year” award at Hertford Regional College and only last year one of our Apprentices won “Apprentice of the Year”.

Thursday evenings are our in-house training evenings when we often need models. The Apprentices are supervised by a Senior Stylist and there is no charge for cutting and styling and only a small charge for colouring. We support Breast Cancer Awareness month and WaterAid.
