General information

Based in Somerset, Concilium HR Ltd was founded by Debbie Morris in 2014 and provides SME's and organisations within the South West area with a pragmatic Human Resources service, focused on finding the right solution which best fits your business needs.

You may not be familiar with HR due to not previously employing staff, have a basic understanding or already have an in-house HR person but would welcome some extra support. Regardless, Concilium HR can work with you to provide a level of support you feel is most beneficial and can help you with every aspect of being or becoming an Employer, including:

Recruiting the right people for your business and how to keep them
Understanding employment contracts
Designing your terms and conditions
Developing your employment policies and procedures, e.g induction and probation, appraisals, promotion and job training, disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence or redundancy
Helping you to understand your legal responsibilities with Employment Law
Helping you to motivate and reward your team and recognise great performance
Practical support to manage difficult situations such as inappropriate behaviour, poor timekeeping, high sickness absence, employee concerns, negative working relationship
Support with improving communication at work including trade union relationships where applicable
When appropriate help you to investigate and explore situations to ensure you have all the facts before any decisions are made
When appropriate help you to fairly and legally dismiss staff due to conduct concerns or an inability to perform their job
Support with business change or growth including restructures, redundancies or staff transfers
Support with staff and management training including informal workshops

Debbie has over 15 years HR experience and is fully CIPD qualified and holds a Masters Degree in Management. Debbie has worked within a wide variety of business environments undertaking both operational and strategic roles and takes pride and enjoyment in working in partnership with managers.

Conciliium HR offers an affordable pay as you go service or can work on retainer subject to customer need.
