We offer a beautiful healing environment here at Merrymeade House, you can pop into our Tea Room, open to everyone mon-fri 9.00am-4pm, sun 9.00am-pm, breakfasts, lunch, homemade soups, scrummy cakes etc or come along to one of our drop in sessions for Healing. We teach meditation courses. We encourage schools to visit, lots of cub scout groups continue to visit year after year. We provide a place of community and understanding.. There is also Tai Chi, Yoga, curry and meditation evenings. Yearly events like a mind, body spirit event, and Easter Hunt for families.
Our school has the methods to purify ones karma, of this life and five previous lifetimes thus allowing you to live your life according to your will. You can attain Enlightenment in this body.We practice mainly Vajrayana Buddhism known as the Diamond Vehicle. We also incorporate breath and Metta Bhavana or Loving Kindness Meditations.
To progress spiritually you need the correct methods for self-cultivation.
In Buddhism the term community means sangha, a spiritual family of like minded people, who choose to develop themselves, respect and support each other. We aim to meet the needs of people who wish to progress personally and spiritually. As the world becomes more difficult externally and internally meditation can offer relief and development to the mounting stresses that human beings are exposed to.
Buddhism is a certain attitude towards life. There is no indoctrination or conditioning, purely the flowering of each individual.
When we can heal our past and not worry about the future, we can then maintain security in the present, this is the teachings in Buddhism.
All very welcome. By changing ourselves we then have the possibility of changing our enviroment. Peace on earth begins with peace within.
