Cleracres Cattery

General information

We have taken great pride in updating and modernising Cleracres over the years. One of our most ambitious projects was to take a slice off the garage and turn it into a new cat kitchen, doubling the size of the original. This has enabled our team to operate more efficiently in the planning and preparation of food for our feline guests.
The cattery itself benefits from a new roof that covers the chalets and runs. Our main section has had all the outside runs replaced and the whole cattery has been re-meshed. We have also added Perspex windows over the sun decks (as recommended by the Feline Advisory Bureau) to ensure that no physical contact is possible between cats. As a double security measure we have what we call an ‘Escape Run’, which is a corridor, all open, with wire mesh, that ensures complete safety of all cats should they run out during cleaning, feeding etc.

We understand how important it is to your peace of mind while you're away that you know your pets are happy and well cared for. We take that duty of care very seriously, and you have the reassurance of knowing that your cat's comfort and welfare during their stay with us is always our highest priority.

Fully licensed
Cleracres Cattery is fully licensed by the local authority (Bath & North East Somerset), which means that we have achieved full compliance with the requirements of the Animals Boarding Establishments Act (1963), passing and fulfilling all relevant inspections. We also fulfil or exceed all standards specified by the Feline Advisory Bureau.

Origin of our name
Our name is commonly misspelled as Clearacres, but in fact the name originates with the Clery family who once owned the site and in 1971 founded the original cattery business that we took over in 1991
