Our small step in the right direction

I am writing to you to say a little of what we are about: The Lion Strength and Fitness Academy has been developed from a previous very successful project called Contender that was backed by the “West Yorkshire Police.”

The Lion strength and Fitness Academy (LSFA) is an independent and separate non-profit organisation and affiliated to England Boxing that is staffed by a group highly qualified staff, trainers and volunteers including me.

We offer a simple (old fashioned but effective) gym facility and also do boxing.

The charitable aim of LSFA is to engage young people and adults into physical fitness, health and nutrition, drugs and alcohol awareness and dangers of weapons and away from the streets of crime and anti-social behaviour.

We are also aiming to introduce educational programs and offer work experience apprenticeship at the same time and this will then aid with people’s future prospects of obtaining employment and preventing the need to get involved in crime.
