Welcome!
We're situated on Western Road, opposite Churchill Square shopping centre. We have three floors filled with Brighton's most extensive range of outdoor clothing, rucksacks, footwear, camping products, travel accessories and climbing equipment from all the leading brands. With equipment that has been tried and tested by our staff, you can rest assured that wherever you may wander, you will be comfortable and safe.

Staff
Our staff come from a broad cross section of outdoor backgrounds, including mountain leaders, ice climbing instructors, sailing and water sports coaches, ramblers, scout Leaders, mountain bikers and experienced world travellers in our ranks. Whether you're off trekking in the Himalayas, going skiing for the first time or replacing an old waterproof jacket to walk the dog in, we've got staff that will be able to offer friendly and helpful advice. We also like to hear your stories and learn a lot from customer feedback, so if you have a story to tell, or can advise us on techniques and gear you have used, then feel free to drop in - we'd love to see you.

Supporting local groups
We are pleased to be able to support local groups and events with an affiliation to the outdoors. Whether you’re a scout or guide leader, Duke of Edinburgh Assessor or a local walking group we offer free kit talk evenings in store, which cover the layering system, Rucksack fittings, the importance of boot fittings, sleeping bags and other areas. Boot Fitting Service

Unless they're selected carefully and fit your feet perfectly, your new boots may leave you with bruised toes and painful blisters. The answer? Visit us in store where our trained boot fitting experts will measure your feet for length, width and weight distribution. We have staff who are experienced walkers and Anatom qualified.
They'll test your boots in action on specially designed, outdoor-like incline boards and fine tune the fit where necessary.
Already have boots but having problems with them? No problem! Just pop in to store with your boots and we'll see what we can do. Often simple adjustments with insoles, lacing or manipulation can help. Best of all this service is FREE! Why not come and take advantage?
Rucksack Fitting service
Nobody has the same back, fact. All our staff are fully trained to advise and fit all our rucksacks so they are tailored for you, weather that being for an duke of Edinburgh expedition, walking the south downs or just an everyday day sack. Already have a rucksack? No problem! Pop in when you can and we can re adjust to make it fit. Best of all this service is FREE!

Click & Collect:

Our Click & Collect service is available in store – simply select your items online, enter your postcode, and select your local store for collection (subject to stock availability).
