The Cowley Club

General information

The Cowley Club is a social centre on London Road in Brighton. It houses a vegan cafe, radical bookshop and library during the day, a bar / gig space during the evenings, and is a base for a variety of other political projects.The club is collectively owned and run as a base for those involved in grassroots social change and those sympathetic to such activities, giving us control over our social space and resources. It is run entirely by volunteers - no one gets paid, and no one is making any profit. Instead, we are trying to provide a much needed alternative to everything else around us.

In answer to some frequently asked questions:
- Volunteers are of course always welcome for both the bar and the cafe, the easiest way to get involved is to pass by the club when it's open. You can always phone the club to check what's happening on 01273696104.

LIBRARY
*Radical books, magazines and journals and 600+ DVDs to borrow. Free internet access.

*Welfare and Benefits Advice- Mon 5.15pm till 6.15pm
