The Concord brand has been one of Germany's oldest and best-known manufacturers of children's equipment for 35 years. The success story goes back to 1978 and Concord has been among the market leaders in Germany and Europe to this day. But Concord's products are not just popular in Europe. The brand is now strongly represented and has been tried and tested with increasing success in important markets, such as Russia and China, for several years.

The Concord brand has been part of the Jané corporate group since 2004, with headquarters in Barcelona. The owners concentrate exclusively on developing and producing children's products, and the group has been a successful, family-run business for 75 years. During this time, more than 600 patents have been registered, and product range had advanced from the first, foldable buggies to today's product diversity that encompasses around 200 products.

The co-operation with strong partners who focus on children's products has enabled Concord to concentrate entirely on developing itself as the premium brand in Germany, Europe and South East Asia, and in the future, also North America. "We are very optimistic about the future! Concord has become an extremely strong export brand. China is likely to be our biggest export market in 2013, followed closely by India. We are currently in the process of developing sales in the USA and Europe," says International Sales Manager, Henrik Liedberg about the Concord brand.

The highlights include "Concord Air", the lightest Isofix baby carrier on the market and "Concord Transformer Pro", an excellent child car seat for children from 9 months to 12 years, that grown up alongside this and has received numerous awards.
Alongside child car seats, buggies make up the largest part of the range. A great deal of investment has gone into research and development in this area over the past few years, in particular, into so-called travel systems. As a provider of systems, Concord accompanies and supports young families right from their first trip out with their new born. The latest examples are the new buggy "Concord Wanderer", suitable for offroad and available in system sets that can be individually adapted, and the compact smartcar "Concord Quix", which provides the child with plenty of space despite its flexible proportions.

Research, particularly into the area of safety products, is given prime importance throughout the company. Child car seats can be thoroughly tested at the in-house crash test facility, one of the most modern in the whole of Europe. Buggies, furniture and children's tableware are also checked for service life, material safety and their ability to withstand extreme stress in extensive use and quality tests.

Concord has been committed to providing instruction and training on the correct handling of children's safety products in schools and in the trade for several years. The Spanish holding company has opened the doors of its in-house crash testing facility to classes of school children for many years, in order to heighten children's awareness for the necessity and correct application of safety products.

Concord has been successful in transferring its considerable expertise and wealth of experience from over 30 years' development in the field of child car seats to new business fields. For several years, the product range has been continually extended to include children's high chairs, accessories and buggies. For example, the high quality appearance and extremely small proportions of the child's high chair "Concord Spin", when it is folded away, set it apart from its competitors. The colourful and innovative spoon "Concord Twist" for when you are on the move has already been a fast seller in Europe for several years and no handbag should be without one. The success of these products proves that the manufacturer is right, endorsing its path of innovation and expansion. The aim of all Concord's product developments is always to predict the changing requirements of today's children's products and to develop products that will best support parents and children in their everyday lives.

The high quality of the Concord brand has been confirmed time and again, both from the customer's perspective and in international design competitions. The latest example is the award for the "Concord Transformer T" and the baby carrier "Concord Air" in the world's most famous and oldest competition for consumer goods "Good Design Award" of the Chicago "Athenaeum" and the "European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies“. The award-winning excellence of Concord products is demonstrated not only by prizes for design, but repeatedly in key consumer tests by automobile clubs, Germany's consumer survey "Stifung Warentest or the international special interest magazines.

An interdisciplinary team made up of engineers, product and colour designers, graphic designers, textile and marketing specialists manage product development for the Concord brand. Textile materials and the colour of the products in the overall product have an extremely important role to play throughout the design and development process. Concord products are famous for the stylish and contemporary textile design of the new product collections each year.

Concord products have their own personality thanks to their independent and excellent design and innovative functionality. This is one of the five basic values that distinguish Concord products. Alongside safe and simple operation and advanced design, the focus is on the products' high quality and good service. At Concord, the priority is always the benefit to the customer, whether this be the new development of a buggy or prompt assistance in the event of a repair.
