Astbury Mere Country Park

General information

NATURE WATCH is a more inclusive look at Nature for all ages. It started from Congleton Wildlife Watch, which was supported by Cheshire Wildlife Trust. We used to run monthly events for primary aged children once a month but volunteers are finding it hard to commit time regularly, so your help is always welcome. Sometimes we have specialist talks, for people like our bat expert, and our Bee expert which is aimed more at adults.

This page is now keeping us in touch with wildlife events in and around Congleton, Cheshire. Your photos, comments, events and help are gratefully appreciated.

Our events for children will often include a craft activity for participants to take home.

Children events so far have been supported by 'Wildlife Watch', the junior branch of The Wildlife Trust. It encourages children to engage in their environment and the issues affecting it. For further details about becoming involved visit the website.

Events are now also supported by Cheshire East Countryside Rangers, Astbury Mere Trust, RSPB, and whoever else would like to join us and promote wildlife events, education and understanding
