ALTHOUGH THIS ISN’T STRICTLY A FREE COLLECTION SERVICE, our aim is to credit the client with the sale of equipment which has been data cleansed, cleaned and tested for re-use. Our costs are absorbed through the sales process.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT FROM OTHER “FREE” SERVICES? Many so called free services won’t offer the correct duty of care, certification, waste carriers licences, data security, and potentially leave your business open to the risk of hackers, environment agency fines, client data and sensitive information leaks, data protection, and possibly export to the third world.

THE USED IT COMPANY IS ABLE TO DEAL WITH ALL CATEGORIES OF WEEE WASTE with both classes of hazardous and non-hazardous. Where equipment is deemed to be beyond economical repair The Used IT Company will look to recover raw material values.

The Used IT Company is a trading name of Intelligent Waste Management Limited and has been setup to maximise client return values. Intelligent Waste Management Limited is licensed and approved by the environment agency and holds the top accreditation for processing waste electronic equipment as an Authorised Approved Treatment Facility. In cases where our services don’t apply (for example the equipment has no resalable value) your details will be passed to Intelligent Waste Management for a disposal quote.

You need to be aware that your organisation has a Duty of Care to take all reasonable measures to protect the environment. You should be aware that:

All redundant (no economic value) computer equipment is classed as Waste
CRT & TFT monitors are classed as Hazardous waste
You must ensure your collection agents hold a Waste Carrier License
You must ensure that your waste equipment goes to a licensed disposal site
Your legal Duty of Care extends to when your equipment is reused, recycled or disposed of.
