General information

NHS North Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is responsible for making sure that local people have the health services they need.

We have:
19 GP practices.
A budget of £254 million for 2017/18 covering services at acute hospitals, community services, GP services and prescribing.
A population of 226,000.
Our providers include: GP Practices, Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust and South HealthNHS Foundation Trust
Our patch is covered by Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council and East Hampshire and Hart District Councils.

Our vision is to commission excellent, integrated patient care for the population of North Hampshire. This means that the NHS care you receive should be of high quality wherever it is provided and whoever provides it.

Our vision is to continuously improve the health and wellbeing of the people of North Hampshire using all resources as fairly as possible. We will do this by:

- providing local clinical leadership to the NHS, and working with everybody who can contribute to our aims.
- being open and accountable to our patients and communities, ensuring they are at the heart of everything we do,
- understanding our population and addressing inequalities so that services are in place to meet needs.
- planning services that best meet those needs now and in the future.
- aiming to secure the best quality, best value health and social care services we can afford
using our resources fairly and effectively.

As part of the CCG authorisation process, we developed our Constitution - a legal document which acts to explain the way in which our organisation is structured so that it is transparent about how we make decisions, making strong governance systems and maintaining good relationships with our GP practices.
