Lancashire Women's Centres Company Information
General information
Our Values
• To provide a safe and supportive environment for staff, volunteers and service users.
• To offer a non-judgemental, equitable and transparent service reflected by how our staff, volunteers and service users are treated and how we treat each other.
• To be professional and accountable.
• To be mindful and inclusive.
• To take positive action to ensure that our services are available to all within our community and to strive to remove barriers to access.
Service Delivery - What We Do
We have a 'one stop shop' model to offer a wide range of support and services, ensuring that women:
• Engage well with a service they trust
• Feel supported to work hard to achieve their goals
• Do not ‘fall between the gaps’ as can happen if they are signposted to a range of services.
We recognise and support the principle that if interventions are wrapped around the primary care giver, then the wider family and community share the benefits of outcomes.
Through consultation with service users, volunteers, staff and wider stakeholders, we are able to evidence the effectiveness of the ‘one stop shop’ model of services.

External Environment
We recognise that the changing policy environment presents both challenges and opportunities for the sector. The Health and Social Care Bill, the Transforming Rehabilitation programme, Payment by Results drivers and Welfare reform mean increasing pressures on service users and those who support them. We have opportunities to influence the shape of service design to ensure that women’s distinct needs are considered and met across sectors and with policy makers.
