General information

A big hello and a wave to all my new likers. My name's Laura and I live in Cherry Tree Cottage where I do all my work and where the idea of my business came from.

The idea behind this business came from my love of giving gifts to people and my favourite kind of gift is a personal one. What started out as a hobby and making things for my friends I'm now sharing with everyone!

The technique I use to personalise my items is called metal stamping. It is done by taking an individual letter, number or a design punch and using a hammer to make an indentation onto a metal blank. As each letter is hand stamped the words may not always be straight which is what makes these pieces stand out with that real "handmade" look and not just look mass produced, which is what people love about it. I will always endeavour to keep the lettering as straight and as well spaced as possible. Take a browse through my photos and have a look at the sort of creations I can make and if you are inspired by anything I'd be very happy to customise something for you if you have something special in mind.

I use a range of materials to make my items, mainly aluminium, brass and copper. I love working with different colour metals that give an interesting contrast. Aluminium is a great metal to use because it is super light which I find perfect for the pieces that I create.

Metals do tarnish and deteriorate over time, to slow the process down remove your jewellery when having a bath or shower and at night and if possible store in a container. The pieces will go dull over a period of time but a soft microfibre cloth will shine them up again. Metals like brass and copper tend to tarnish over time from the exposure to oxygen and oils from your skin. There are a number of different techniques you can use to restore your pieces, just do a search on the internet and find what best works for you.

Ordering an item
• Please send me a private message with a description of what you would like.
• Include any wording typed as you would like it with upper and lower case letters.
• Please check your spelling very carefully! I will stamp the lettering exactly as you type it unless I spot an obvious error and I will contact you to check.
• Include colours of any crystals if they are wanted.
• Send all of this along with your email address for Paypal.
• Once I have received this I will send you a message to check and confirm your order including prices, then I will send an invoice via Paypal. You can pay via a card with Paypal even if you don't already have an account.
• Once the invoice has been paid, your order will be placed in my order book, and will be completed in order.
• Payments must be made within a week to secure your order.
• If you need an item by a specific date then please let me know this when ordering and I will try to accommodate you as much as I possibly can.
• No orders will be started until the invoice has been paid.
• I aim to have your order with you within 7-10 days.

Postage
• All items can be posted worldwide. Please contact me for international shipping costs.
• Postage prices are dependent on the number of items you order and the combined size/weight of the parcel.
• If an item costs less than I have estimated then all excess postage will be refunded.
• Your piece will arrive in an organza bag, in a padded envelope.

Returns
• I cannot offer any refunds on jewellery once they have been personalised unless of course the stamping is wrong due to fault of my own, so please double check your spellings/dates before finalising your order with me.
• No refunds or replacements will be made until I have the original piece sent back to me.
