General information

Campingninja is the brainchild of Rhian Evans and Geoff Vaughan. After winning the TTG ‘The Big Idea’ and the backing of 4 industry Travel Investors, Campingninja set about shaking up the camping industry by introducing the 1st booking platform specifically designed for campers and campsites.

The next step was to take their knowledge of the camping industry to major sporting and outdoor events around the UK and Europe. Leading up to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games the pair came up with the idea of setting up one campsite for ticket holders, Gamesmakers and workforce contractors, providing a fantastically unique campsite and affordable accommodation, whilst contributing to grass root sports.

After a week of selling it became clear a 2nd campsite would be needed. Then a 3rd. Then a 4th. In total Campingninja created, marketed, took bookings for and operated 13 campsites simultaneously during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. With campsites situated in challenging locations in London, the South East and Weymouth the team is extremely proud of its expertise in operations, marketing, planning, licensing, working with local communities and creating much needed funds for community sports clubs.

Campingninja Events is a rapidly growing part of the business with 2013 seeing Campingninja creating campsites at exciting campsites around the UK including The Bristol Balloon Fiesta, Tough Mudder races and several music events.

Campingninja are planning 9 Tough Mudder campsites around the UK and Ireland in 2014 as well as campsites at the Bristol Balloon fiesta and the Tour de France’s Grande Depart in Yorkshire .

Campingninja are excited about creating a Volunteer village and Fan village for Glasgow next summer which are both now on sale.

Campingninja will also create a Workforce Contractor campsite as they did previously for over a 1000 contractors during the Olympic Games.
