General information
Formerly Derbyshire Association for the Blind, Sight Support Derbyshire was established in 1914 to support soldiers returning from World War One. In 2012 we changed our name to reflect the fact that many of the visually impaired users of our services are not actually registered blind.
We support 4,000 people in Derbyshire by offering rehabilitation, sports and leisure services, home support, low vision assessments and more, with most of our services delivered by a team of committed and experienced volunteers.

Our head office in Litchurch Lane, Derby is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday. We also have an office in Chesterfield.
Our aim is to extend our services to benefit every visually impaired person in Derbyshire.
