Essex Agricultural Society Company Information
General information
Established in 1858, The Essex Agricultural Society has been serving Essex Farmers for over 150 years.
The Society is now based at Writtle College and much of its work is to support and encourage the farming community by raising the profile of the industry in a number of ways.
As well as holding lectures and events for the industry the Society facilitate the Essex Schools Food and Farming Day (ESFFD) at Writtle College each June where 3000 Essex school children aged between 8 - 11 are invited to leave their classroom to learn more about where their food comes from and the Essex Countryside
