Families InFocus (Essex) is a parent-led registered charity committed to helping improve the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged children with disabilities/special needs (aged 0-25) across Essex and their families.
We offer a unique service providing holistic independent support to any family who has a child/children with any disability/special need, requiring advice, information and support, particularly at times of change, challenge and crisis.
We understand the distressing emotions, frustrations and challenges that parents and carers face in bringing up their special child, and aim to give caring, practical and confidential support when needed.
We also aim to empower parents to do what is right for them and their children, to make the best use of available services, to receive appropriate support for their child and to address obstacles to achieving this.
