ABOUT SCULPTRA
Sculptra helps to replenish your own facial collagen and restore lost volume and can give you a fuller, more natural look that can last for up to 2 years.

What is SCULPTRA®
SCULPTRA® is FDA approved and is designed to restore a more youthful look naturally and gradually. It is a biocompatible and biodegradable injectable material known as poly-L-lactic acid that naturally stimulates your cells to produce their own collagen.

SCULPTRA® refreshes the way you look by restoring your skin’s natural contours and smoothing out wrinkles, creases and folds. While traditional dermal fillers only address wrinkles, lines and folds, SCULPTRA® works differently. It replenishes lost volume by stimulating the growth of your own natural collagen to treat the underlying causes of facial ageing.

How SCULPTRA® works
SCULPTRA® is a facial injectable that works gradually in a series of treatments - an average of 3 injection sessions with an interval of 4 to 6 weeks between each session - to produce a refined, more youthful-looking appearance. During the course of your SCULPTRA® treatments, collagen growth is stimulated. Over time, you’ll notice changes to your face that can last for more than 2 years.*

Does treatment hurt?
As with all injections you will probably feel some discomfort. You may even notice a brief burning sensation at the injection site. Applying an ice pack after treatment will help relax your skin. If necessary your Medical Aesthetics practitioner will also give you a local anaesthetic.

What about side effects?
Your Medical Aesthetics practitioner will give you special aftercare instructions. For optimum effects it is important to massage the treatment area twice daily for one week.
Inform your Medical Aesthetics practitioner if any side effects occur, for example inflammation or small bumps in the treated area
