Southbourne Parish Council Company Information
General information
A team of residents worked with Southbourne Parish Council to create a Neighbourhood Plan for the Parish of Southbourne (Southbourne, Hermitage, Lumley, Prinsted, Thornham and Nutbourne) that will cover the next 15 years.
This plan determines how many houses should be built in that time, where they should be built and what kind of new homes are needed in the Parish.
The plan also addresses changes that new development might bring – for example changes to schools, roads, new employment land, local facilities and so on.
The Neighbourhood Plan was completed in 2015 and voted in by the residents Nov 2015.
Chichester District Council’s Draft Plan recommends that 350 new dwellings are built within the Parish by 2021.
