General information
Matrix is a purpose-built, award-winning centre for music and other arts in Sutton Courtenay, South Oxfordshire. It was set up in 1989 by Lindsay MacKenzie and George Taylor and obtained charitable status in 1993.
The Yamaha Music School at Matrix was established from the very start and we are now well known locally, nationally and internationally for the children's courses we specialise in. Children start (beginners 2 to 7 years old) by learning music naturally, as they would a language, and our method of teaching develops with them as they grow. The Yamaha Music education system is far more than just piano lessons: It's music for life.
