We believe in Giving talent a chance.
So we remove financial and access barriers that prevent young people from achieving their ambitions to excel in making music. We inspire them to succeed by ensuring that they get the best possible support we can find.
We inspire people to get behind supporting musical potential - without AYM's financial and developmental help, so many young musicians who not attain their best or whose talent would fall by the wayside.
We work across four programme areas:
Identifying Talent: training teachers in how to spot young people’s musical potential
Furthering Talent: targeting and sustaining young people’s emerging talent through strategic support
Awards: funding young talent UK-wide, through annual grants and tailor-made help for individual musicians
Innovation and Research: leading new thinking and action on talent development
