Otford Builders Merchants commenced trading in 1972, from a variety of small sheds and with little stock, on a two-acre freehold site in Otford, near Sevenoaks, Kent. Over the years we have grown from these humble beginnings to become one of the largest independent builders merchants in the South of England, with an enviable reputation for quality, range and excellent customer service and advice. We now stock over 2,000 lines for all your building requirements.

During 1988, our premises were extended to enable us to enlarge the trade counter and add a brick library along with a bathroom showroom. Over the next few years, we extended further to house our direct sales department, sales office and accounts processing department.

Our business has been based on our efficient, personal and professional service, which has enabled us to continue our growth over the past 35 years. We have endeavoured to base our business on strong, competitive pricing to both large and small customers linked to a fast, efficient service through our own transport department.

In September 2012 we opened our second depot at Ashford in the heart of Kent. This new store enables us to better serve our customers in the centre and east of the county and operates with the same high quality, expertise and attention to detail that we are renowned for.
