General information
Great Chart Primary School is situated in the heart of the Singleton development in Ashford,
next to the old tithe barn. Ashford is a growth town, partly due to its easy access
to Europe via the Channel Tunnel and the International Station. The children
come from the village of Great Chart itself but mainly from Singleton, which is
within the Parish of Great Chart. The staff and children transferred in January 1993
from a Victorian School Building in the village of Great Chart to a superb new school
building in Singleton. The school is two-form entry for Years 1-6 and three-form in
Foundation Stage, consisting of 15 classes and is presently oversubscribed.
