IT Facilities
The PCs in the Library are Desktop Services (DS) machines (part of the UIS Managed Cluster Service) and do require a password. This will either be a Raven password (for current students and staff) or a V number (for UL readers and alumni).
These machines can be found on all floors of the Library.
Catalogue terminals for general use (which do not require a password) provide web access to Newton, Library search and other library pages. One or more of these PCs can be found on all floors of the Library.
To print from the DS machines, you need to have bought printer credit in advance. The Moore Library is part of the ‘Common balance’ scheme, so you can use your central DS printer credit here.
You can add credit to your account via the Kiosk terminal next to the MFD ( photocopier/scanner/printer) on the ground floor or we can add credit onto your balance if required: please ask at the Service Desk between 0930 and 1630, Monday-Friday, and have your userid to hand.
Both the UniOfCam and Eduroam wireless services are available on all floors.
Photocopying services
The photocopiers are located on the lower-ground floor, and are operated by inserting coins into the unit attached to the left-hand side of each machine. The copiers accept most British coins (namely £2, £1, 50p, 20p, 10p, 5p, 2p) but not notes. The change machine located next to the copiers can be used to convert notes into pound coins.

Two small study rooms on the lower-ground floor of the Library are available during normal staffed opening hours for group or individual use. Room bookings may be made in person at the Service Desk, or by telephone to 01223 765670. Please have your University Card to hand.
