General information

Cambridge Family Mediation Service has been supporting families through change for over 30 years. We work with couples facing separation or divorce, and with other members of their families, offering support through:

Mediation
Family work
Group programmes for parents and children
Separated parental guidance

Our mediators:

Our team of mediators come from a variety of professional backgrounds and have a wealth of skills and experience in family mediation and conflict resolution. All of our mediators are Family Mediation Council Accredited (i.e. hold FMCA status) and are therefore qualified to conduct Mediation Information and Assessment Meetings (MIAMS) and complete the mediator part of court forms when a client intends to make an application regarding a family matter. All our mediators are fully qualified to carry out both privately and publicly funded (legally aided) mediation.

Our Family worker:

Our family worker is a fully qualified family therapist who is a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy.

Our service is:

Confidential – Nothing you say is passed on to anyone without your consent. However, if there are significant concerns about the wellbeing and safety of children or adults, the appropriate agency will be contacted.

Professional – All our services are run by highly qualified practitioners with extensive experience of supporting families through change.

Trusted – Over the last 30 years, we have established a local and national reputation for offering quality services that work. We are contracted by the Legal Services Commission to provide publicly funded mediation. In 2011 we won the Avril Reid Award for Innovation from National Family Mediation.
